Memories and that's about it

Quick stop in from Burger Bot and Joe Blogs got a few of us chatting about previous visits to Jackson's on George. Seems we can all agree on it's reputation... "Seed house of booze".

Burger Bot and Blogs couldn't even be bothered ordering a beer - at overpriced tourist price - or ordering any food. Again, too expensive. $18.50 for a burger isn't way over the top but that was near the bottom end. Promotes quick drinking (if any) so you can be quickly on your way.

We sat in the ground floor bar out back and made notes of all the bling. Sports, flags, half a dozen clocks, and a big flashing headache. The music, sounding like a 2 minute sample on loop all day, made staying any longer impossible. One of the clocks told the time out at Bondi Beach, like that was important to know while sitting in Sydney. Different time zone out there? There's a bunch of stuff on tap here, pick one and enjoy looking at the pressed tin ceiling or the cluttered novelty English pub crap everywhere.

TOO MUCH BAR BLING! MY EYES, MY EYES!

Out front is a different story, catering for the "classier" patron, with professional dressed wait staff and a open airy street frontage. And then there's upstairs...

Southy and Miller recall some messy nights out in the night club upstairs. "I've only been there maybe once in the last three years", says Southy, and that's all he had to say on that visit. Must have been memorable. Thinking back to his youth however, he was able to provide this thought - "It used to be a favourite when I was 18, loved the dancing in the cage. Is there a cage any more?" He doesn't rate the place at all these days. Things change.

Miller had roughly the same memories about cage dancers. "Seed house!", he proclaims. "No pants cage dancing was good though. Last time I went there was for <insert a previous employer> ball. Must have been 2003/04? Bliiiiiiind!"

Side alley "bottom of the harbour" bar entry
Sounds like the kind of place you might enjoy getting wrecked at when younger out on a bender with your mates but that's about it.

Don't bother.
