"Aperçu de Le Pub!"

Although Le Pub is not quite a "pub", it is quite enjoyable, and that's why we've included it here on our Sydney Pub List. Enjoy a little Paris in the heart of Sydney.

The Parisian bar, neatly tucked away below the bustle of Sydney's CBD, is well equipped for all your pub needs - bar, beer, food, tunes, and even a tele or two. Stare up at the large light panels and imagine the silhouettes of feet passing overhead in the Paris street above.

With French inspired food and beverage on board, Le Pub is offering something different. On our visit we sampled both food and beverage and were impressed. Even our French colleague gave it a nod. Tasty Frenchy cuisine is complimented by tasty Frenchy beers, as well as some more standard frothies, and we also noted a decent wine list.

The interior is a winner too. Nicely done. It feels a bit industrial in parts, with brass and iron, and mashes this up against some class and elegance with plush stools, decorative dining chairs and tables, alphabet tiles spelling out French food, and nice mood lighting. The interior design is apparently inspired by the Paris Metro, blending the style of a first class cabin with underground construction.

Grab a spot at the bar or high table or if you prefer, cosy up in a booth or take a seat in the more elegant dining area and yes, they are suitcases overhead. For all your Paris subway travel needs.

Le Pub is a food-focussed bar for people who like a bit more class in their pub experience, with service to match. Recommended! We would have rated it 3.5 if it was an actual pub.
